Ford has reduced the van weight of the Transit Custom by more than 100kg and upped the stiffness of the structure by some 30% and it makes a real difference. The steering is nicely weighted to feel solid at speed but light and easy around town, and the turning circle is suitably tight for deliveries and manoeuvring.
