I believe the '09s still use this same 3.6 engine type in the Q7, though if your intake manifold is all black plastic (vs. all aluminum/silver), that's the single stage intake. I believe for '08 VW went with the single stage 3.6 for the Touareg (facelift "T2" started that year), which is why I even mention it at all.
